Are You an Over Packer?

Are You an Over Packer?

When it comes to packing for a trip, I like to be super strategic. I'm super intentional about what I bring because overpacking stresses me out. For most women, I think having too many choices can be a detriment.

This week, I've designed a Fall travel capsule (one for standard sizing and one plus sizing), perfect for a casual weekend getaway.

Here are five tips for you to consider when packing for your next trip:

1. What is the itinerary? Plan out your looks for the events you have planned instead of packing random items.

2. Is there anything you NEED for one of your events? Maybe it's sneakers. If so, plan your look around that. I always think figuring out these non-negotiable items are helpful when narrowing down your options.

3. Try it on before you go. If you don't love it at home, you won't love it on vacation.

 4. Consider pieces that can take you from day to night. For example, a pair of cropped denim is great paired with flats or sneakers for day and tall boots at night.

5. Don't panic and don't burden yourself with the 'what ifs...'. What if it is always the curse of packing. I'd argue that these last minute items you throw in just in case are almost never worn.

If packing seems like something you just can't stomach, then don't! I have so many clients that outsource this to me! I love styling clients for their trips. This service starts with a detailed consultation and you're left with a beautifully curated lookbook so you know exactly what to wear and when!
