Florals for Spring
How original, right?
With the lack of winter we’ve gotten, it’s got me super anxious for spring. Personally, I’m a flowers person. Give me all the floral prints and I’m good. I consider my personal style to be classic and feminine, with a touch of trend. However, I have a lot of clients that really just don’t resonate with a feminine style. There are many ways to bring florals into your wardrobe without feeling like you’re ready for afternoon tea.
Last summer I became pretty obsessed with these 3-D flower earrings (as seen in the photo below). I have these studs in navy, white and nude, and then also have them in hot pink in the dangle version. I love that they’re big enough to appreciate if your hair is down, and make a great statement when your hair is up without looking ‘evening’.
But can florals be edgy? Can they be rocker-chic? I love florals so much, that I’m pretty certain they can resonate with other less ‘feminine’ styles. Here are some ideas on how to take on florals while staying true to your personal style!
I love how bobby pins are making an interesting appearance in hair trends. I think its such a great style for hair that is a few days old, or a way to accessorize! Check out this gorgeous style created by my girl Geysha and see what she has to say about the trend:
“I am loving this new trend right now using traditional drugstore bobby pins or embellished pins to accessorize any hairstyle! My favorite style to use bobby pins are a simple low ponytail or side parted style. I suggest that blondes use dark colored pins and brunettes to use lighter pins to give it a nice contrast! To make the look really trendy, use at least 3 or more pins. Have fun with it, you can’t go wrong!”
