Denim Stats…this is a prime example of when an accountant becomes a personal stylist. Ladies, numbers don’t lie. If you know what measures your body needs, it makes purchasing denim so much easier. Have you ever ordered 2 pairs of different jeans, both ‘high rise’ and in one pair you can see your belly button and the other is trying to eat your bra? I sure have. Not all retailers have the same interpretation of ‘high rise’ or ‘flare’ so knowing what fits your body best will set you up for success in the future. The most valuable player in our closet certainly has to go to our denim. You know that if you go to your closet right now you have a pair of jeans with miles of memories in them, a pair of comfy jeans that you could wear all day, your go to going out jeans, skinny jeans, fat jeans, and the pair of the jeans you just can’t get rid of. Denim has become even more important in our wardrobes due to the relaxed dress codes of many employers.

Winter Sale Savvy

Being savvy when shopping a sale means the having ability to make good judgments. It means having the discipline to walk away from those items that are ‘just so cheap’ or ‘a really great deal’ or ‘only $X’. Without a doubt, its all those items that I see in the purge pile of a closet audit. Here are my 5 tips on how to navigate those winter sales like a stylist.

The Lost Years

As we enter a new season, I think this is an important conversation. A client once said this to me... “I call this stage of life that I’m in, the lost years”. She knew at one point she was stylish.
