Regardless of how you feel about Valentine’s Day, on this day of love you should really love how you look. When you love how you look, you exude confidence. When you feel confident you can really focus on your partner. I recently watched a show on Goop that talked about how women’s confidence directly correlates to their want/desire to be intimate with their partner. On what many may consider to be the sexiest holiday of the year, feeling confident with your look couldn’t be more important. Whether you have casual plans at home or a fancy night on the town, I have 4 quick tips to use when picking your look that will make your heart skip a beat!
Keep it soft. If you have Valentine’s Day plans then you’ve most likely got a love interest in your life and who wants to be rubbing up on someone in scratchy clothes?! Keep your look to soft knits and silks for a romantic vibe.
Up the sex appeal. I get it, maybe you’re just keeping it casual… you can still be sexy and casual! Easy ways to up the sex appeal without going overboard are: to wear a low cut top instead of a crew neck or heels instead of flats. If you normally wear heels, swap your stacked heel or wedges for a stiletto.
Wear your gift. Did your significant other gift you with something recently? The easiest way to ensure the sweet surprises keep coming is by showing them how much you love/appreciate what you’ve received. Everyone loves a little positive reinforcement and seeing you wear what you’ve been gifted is an easy way to put a smile on their face.
Show off or wear whatever your significant other likes. I am all for dressing for you, but why not make your look about them on this day? Is there a body part they’re a particular fan of? Flaunt it! Do they love when you wear your hair up? Rock that ponytail girl!
So often I think people get caught up in grand gestures when in reality, its the little things that make people smile. Sure, a grand gesture is going to get us all excited, but something so simple as wearing their favorite dress could make their heart flutter.
