Today’s post was inspired by my girl Suzanne Taylor. You may have noticed her popping up on my feed recently. I recently met her at a lunch and instantly knew we would vibe. Fast forward, and I’ve styled her for two speaking engagements and we’ve been to several events together. I highly encourage you to check out her site-she provides authentic life and career coaching in a truly magnetic way.
How original, right?
With the lack of winter we’ve gotten, it’s got me super anxious for spring. Personally, I’m a flowers person. Give me all the floral prints and I’m good. I consider my personal style to be classic and feminine, with a touch of trend. However, I have a lot of clients that really just don’t resonate with a feminine style. I would like to redirect all of you to read that title again, this time in a Whitney Houston singing voice. Much better right? My inspiration for today’s post came to me the other day when I was in the car and heard a Kings of Leon song. I was immediately teleported back into… 2009? I think that was the year. I then just started on a trip down memory lane thinking about how much music really can burn a feeling and an event into your brain. Like I can still remember in college dancing with my girlfriend Jenna to Nina Sky ‘Oye Mi Canto’ and honestly, I just put it on YouTube and a smile came to my face instantly.
Do you celebrate Galentine’s day with your girlfriends? I think it is such a great way to celebrate that you are a confident single woman, or just a night to get together with your besties! I remember years ago when I was single and in my twenties, me and 3 of my girlfriends went to dinner and drinks, on actual Valentine’s day. And let me tell you- if you’re single and reading this, going out on Valentine’s day with friends is the easiest way to get free drinks! I remember the manager of the restaurant coming over to us and telling us that his servers were fighting over our table!
This weeks post is coming directly off the coat tails of last week’s. With all of the crazy end of season sales going on, I wanted to share some of my insider tips on how to most effectively shop a sale rack. When I’m shopping, specifically a sale rack, there are certain things I look for and ultimately, can’t pass up.
Yes, I’m well aware we’re rolling off a 65+ degree weekend. Yes, its January.
This past weekend was such a dream and so needed after all the formalities of the holidays. It was so great to be outside all day with friends and the kiddos playing corn hole and dodging power wheel trucks, and enjoying some wine :) But lets face it, that wind has been kicking and I know the 30 degree days aren’t gone for good and we still have a few more months until my pool cover is off. So here are some tips on how to get through the winter rut.
