As the weather starts to turn and temps begin to rise, our social calendars without fail also begin to pick up. It goes without saying, social events are just more fun when you like your outfit.

I've been shopping for a lot of clients recently who want to up their wardrobe for Spring. When it comes to getting dressed this season, I've been encouraging my clients to try new silhouettes and colors! Coming off the long Winter season, a lot of people are in a style rut right now. One of the easiest ways to pull yourself out of a seasonal style rut is to try new things! The bright whimsical colors of the season are sure to interject some joy to your look! This week's catalog is filled with bright colors of the season, paired back to some neutral wardrobe staples.

This week you'll find perfectly styled looks that will fit nearly any occasion on your calendar from a work luncheon, a Spring wedding, even Easter. When shopping these weekly catalogs, I think it's helpful to consider these few tips:

Shop with emotion! Go for looks that make you gasp and fall in love. You'll be sure to want to wear a garment over and over again if you love it.
Shop key pieces and supplement with your wardrobe where you see fit. For example, with the look shown below, if you already have a quality white button down, even a white tee and a pair of nude pumps, you can easily recreate this look with only purchasing the skirt and maybe accessories!
Swap out footwear for something that suits you best. I try to provide a variety of footwear options, but I know some people need to be particular with their footwear. If a look is shown with a tall heel, think about what would be more comfortable for you if that won't work for your lifestyle. The same goes for the reverse as almost all looks would work with a heel if a flat is presented.
Plan where and when you'll wear it. A garment that already has an intended purpose in your wardrobe is a practical purchase!
