Wardrobe Builder on a Budget

Ladies… all week long I’ve talked to you (on my IG stories) about how you can majorly benefit from an end of season sale and I thought I would put it all in one place here for you. Let talk about the guidelines first and then I’m gonna work my magic and do a round up of some great pieces out there for you!

Does it Suit You?

Summer has arrived (yay!) which means all sorts of outdoor activities… typically ones that usually involve water. Yup, its bathing suit season! Are you cringing? Or worse yet, thinking about all the ways you can starve yourself before you actually have to wear one? Well, stop. While it’s never too late to work on yourself physically, I’m here to help promote all the #positivevibes and get you ready for the summer even if you think your body isn’t. And that’s just it… it’s a thought. You can, and will, rock that bathing suit this summer! And with these next tips, you’ll do it with a lot less stress.

Day to Night

Things I’m all about: seeing where the day takes you, packing light, and looking chic. Did that second one throw you for a loop? Thought so. It’s one that surprises a lot of people. I wasn’t always this way. I remember on a college trip to Greece, my luggage was so heavy it hurt to roll it. Lifting is was completely out of the question as the mere weight of the handle on my hand as I rolled it through the airport was crippling. Fast forward to the year after I met my amazing husband and we were packing for our first trip to Hawaii. Ten days, carry on only. I thought he was crazy when he said I could only carry on, but I did it, and I personally prefer to have it that way now.

Stimulus for the Soul

Yesterday morning I woke up to 58 text messages from my ‘The Girls’ text group all talking about their stimulus checks that had hit their bank account. April 15th, 2020 will forever be remembered as Stimulus Day instead of Tax Day. I think the government realized that there are a lot of women out there in dire need for a visit with their therapist. So in a social distancing attempt to re-center the women of America, we were given a chance to engage in retail therapy. One might argue that it has the same great effect on the soul.

Dressed at your Desk

Zoom has become the new conference room, your dining room table your new cubicle, your kids have become your co-workers, and someone swapped out all the pens and staplers in the supply cabinet with chips and Cheetos. With all of us working from home, we have relied on Zoom as a way for us to connect, which is great, but for some, we’re bringing less flattering versions of ourselves. Here are my tips for how to present the best version of yourself to the virtual conference room.
