Authentic Positivity
This feels a little different. What exactly, you say? All of it. I would normally be taking this time to write to you about my top tips on how to shop a sale rack, or list out the season’s current trends and how you can incorporate them into your personal style, but I’m not. Pretty much the only thing that is the same right now is the fact that I’m listening to Macklemore- if you didn’t know, now you know- HUGE FAN- and the comfy joggers I’ve got on.
So what do I mean that its all different? Lets face it, us as humans have been seriously tested the past few months and as of late. I’ve never been a political source, and I’m not about to change that. But as I process all the posts and videos I can’t help but think we need a little positivity. This isn’t me being insensitive to the issues we are facing, this is my authentic way of reacting to the situations around us. Change doesn’t happen overnight, it involves growth. That growth starts with one person and it does just that, it grows. That one person, starts with you, within you. I’m talking about personal development and positive self image. Its tough to truly love and accept another without feeling that way about yourself first.
It is my goal as your image consultant to help boost your confidence through your wardrobe. It is my goal to provide you with content that teaches you something about style and image. But today, it is my goal to inspire you to look within and work on your inner image, not just your exterior. The new clothes won’t feel as good as they all look without an internal alignment of all the overthinking and self sabotage that lives in your head. Us as women can be incredibly judgmental on ourselves which often can be projected as judgment of others. Right now, its acceptance of others, and more importantly, acceptance of ourselves that we all could benefit from.
You won’t see any big changes here. It is still my mission to help women develop their style and curate a wardrobe that gives them the time and confidence to focus on what is most important to them. But take comfort in knowing that whenever I can, I will be a source of truly authentic positivity because of the personal development that I make a priority for myself.
