Consider all logistics. Outdoor wedding? Set yourself up for success by choosing appropriate footwear. Derby party? Choose a hat you’re comfortable in so you can commit to wearing it the whole time. Your outfit should add to the overall experience and elevate your mood. If you’re constantly fussing with it or complaining about something you can’t fully enjoy your function.
Don’t be afraid to rewear a dress! If you’ve got a bunch of events lined up this season, resist the urge to feel like you always need something new. A quality dress will fit better, photograph better and last longer. When buying something, think how you can wear it again or what other event on your calendar it will also work for. If you’re going to wear an item for two or more functions, you can spend more and get a dress that feels like magic versus a few less expensive dresses that will go to die in the back of your closet.
