Recently, I reconnected with a client from 5 years ago. When we spoke on the phone, she said:
Even though its been a few years, I still read your blogs. You’re still the upbeat, positive girl I remember. I think your blogs read differently to me because I know you on a more personal level than maybe someone who hasn’t worked with you.
While this may be true, I still hope that after reading one of my blogs, you feel as if you’ve gotten to know me better and understood my style. It wasn’t long after my client said this to me, someone else said to me, ‘You’re left handed?!’ It made me think, maybe people don’t know me as well as I thought they did… So here you have it, a glimpse into the woman behind the blogs, behind the style advice… 20 things you didn’t know about me.
I’m an only child, raising an only child. I never really saw myself with multiple children… I loved being an only child and always saw myself with one.
Shopping weakness: earrings. I love them, I love picking up pairs in my travels, and I think they can transform a look with minimal effort.
My favorite movie: The Town.
I’m a complete sucker for drinks with cucumber, basil or mint. They get me every time.
I went to Woodstock ‘94.
My favorite travel destination: There are two… Vegas and Sonoma, CA.
Bucket List Item: RV trip to Yellowstone.
I have two rescue dogs, Marley (10) and Fiona (2). Marley is a food curious beagle and Fiona is a laser focused goof ball.
I live in South Jersey with my amazing hub Mark and sweet angel Tessa Clare (6). I’m from Upstate NY. I <3 NY. I’ve also lived in Tampa, Florida and Astoria, Queens.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fashion designer. Guess I didn’t end up too far off.
When I was 24 me and my GF Emily stayed up for 36 hours to see Bon Jovi at Rockefeller Center on the Today show. #livinonaprayer
Favorite food: short ribs. During the pandemic I learned how to cook them as a way to elevate our time spent at home.
I deeply love the act of picking out an outfit, be it for myself, a friend or a client.
I love convertibles. #topdown
Fresh flowers instantly put a smile on my face.
I’d choose an AirBNB trip over an all-inclusive resort any day.
I get my year round tan from my Puerto Rican roots, mixed with some French and German.
I tried snowboarding for a few years before accepting that I was just never going to be good at it. Working on my ski game.
Favorite concert: JLo… it pains me to not say Macklemore, close second.
