My Outfit Has Got Me Feeling Thankful
The season of thanks is upon us and soon I will be hosting a feast for 28 family members and I couldn’t be more excited. Since I was a kid, Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday. I love what it stands for, I love the food and we all know I love any opportunity to dress a little nicer than usual.
Hopefully all of you have a place to go, good people to celebrate with and a great meal to eat. If that’s the case, you’ve got an outfit to plan and I am here to help you with that. I’ve thought a lot about this blog, what I’ve talked about in previous years (here and here) and what will truly benefit you. And then I thought, lets talk about what I want to wear. I thought about what components make a perfect Thanksgiving outfit for me, and decided to broaden that to make it relevant to each of us. Think about your own personal style and lifestyle. Do you resonate with a ‘clean’ style? Boho? Trendy? Casual? I decided to style each girl. Keep reading to get to know them.
Meet Cara. She likes clean lines, hates distressing. She’s not afraid of an iron, and certainly wouldn’t be caught dead in something crochet. Here’s what she wants to wear on Thanksgiving.
Meet Brianne. There isn’t an earth tone she won’t wear. She prefers flowy fabrics and loves print. Here’s what she wants to wear on Thanksgiving.
Meet Jessie. She’s a loves a calendar full of events and keeps her eye on what’s new. She’s not afraid to try new things and pays attention to details. Here’s what she wants to wear on Thanksgiving.
Meet Amanda. Multi-tasking is her jam, and wants to prepared for anything, but wants to look effortless too. She’ll wear heels, but wouldn’t be upset if she wore sneakers either. Here’s what she wants to wear on Thanksgiving.
Are you a Cara, Brianne, Jessie, Amanda or maybe a mix of a few? When it comes to getting dressed for Thanksgiving, I want to be comfortable yet look stylish and put together. I personally don’t want to be in jeans, but I know that’s not the case for all of us. I personally love a sweater dress and how it feels cozy and expands to account for all the food I’ve just eaten!
