Try New Things

Try New Things

A few weeks ago my family and I went kayaking and while we were driving, it occurred to me that I really like farms. I know, not your typical first line from me, but hear me out. We drove about 45 minutes to a kayaking spot. The drive is peppered with farms and beautiful homes set back on large pastures. This may not sound like much or out of the ordinary to you, this gal grew up in Upstate New York in a modest home, in a neighborhood where all of my neighbors were visible followed by a short stint in NYC. No farms there.

Farms and fashion? Keep reading.

My point of this is that you really don’t know that you will like something unless you try it out. Often I see women pumping the breaks on new styles and trends because they think “they could never pull it off’. Seriously though, what do you have to lose, we’re in a freakin’ pandemic. I feel like things can only go up from here. Here’s my two cents on trying something new:

  1. You can never really become who you are supposed to be by continuing to act like a past version of yourself. We as humans are continuing to evolve and grow, let your wardrobe reflect that person you are today. Don’t let your image hold you back from reaching your fullest potential.

  2. Girl, don’t bow your head, throw them shoulders back. A lot of pulling off a look is in your head and how you carry yourself. Trust what your gut says when you try something on. If its feeling it, don’t overthink it, or worse, wonder what other people will think. I truly believe that when you wear something with confidence you sell a look even more.

I can understand if these things are easier said than done, and that my friends is why you have me. A lot of my clients have hired be for the very reason that they know they need to uplevel their image, but just don’t know where to start. Or that they have confidence and know how to rock a look, but don’t know what look to rock, or how to find a look that feels authentic AND elevates their game. If you this speaks to you, leave a comment or send me an email! I would love to see if I my services are good fit for you!
