Fall Favorites
I recently got a DM asking me a few questions about some of my favorite staples for a fall wardrobe. I thought about in grade school when your teacher used to say,
If you have a question, odds are someone else has that same question.
So why not put it in a blog?! Here were her questions:
Shirts that are flattering on the apple shape. The apple shape is defined by one whose top half is greater than their bottom half, and often women carry their weight in their midsection.

These three items are perfect for a casual fall wardrobe! So here you have it ladies, my fall wardrobe favorites!
I love a peplum top for apple shapes! A peplum top helps to create the look of an hourglass figure, cinching in the waist! I also love a peplum top for rectangle body shapes (top half all approximately the same size) . It is common for a rectangle shape to have small hips and a waist about the same size. For a good long sweatshirt, I am loving one by Universal Treads at Target that I picked up a few months ago. Fortunately they re-released it! I also love this tunic from Amazon’s Daily Ritual brand that I shared in this blog post last year. This top is not quite a sweatshirt, but is a thicker knit and has the feel of a sweatshirt. My favorite jeans are Wit and Wisdom Absolution jeans at Nordstrom. I have styled many clients in these jeans from 0-14. Why do I love them so much? They come in Regular, Petite and Plus, they are super stretchy and feel like second skin, and are under $80. They also have a stretchy panel in the front to suck you in and in the back waistband to help with gapping. Sizing notes: Size 1 down as they run big, trust me. For my petite girls, if a pair doesn’t come in petite, because not all the styles do, look for an ankle length as they will fit like a petite regular jean. Shop jeans here.
