Whats the Difference Between an Image Consultant and Blogger?

Whats the Difference Between an Image Consultant and Blogger?

Good question. I am an image consultant AND I have a blog. So am I a blogger? No.

The key difference between a blogger and myself, is that a blogger is going to show you beautiful outfits that look good on THEM. As an image consultant, its my job to show you and teach you what clothes and styles flatter YOUR figure best.

So whether you are tall or petite, thin or plus, I will help you to develop a wardrobe and choose the pieces that are best for you.

And since no two of you are alike, that means my suggestions are ever changing and diverse! This is by no means a dig on bloggers, because I too follow a bunch of fashion bloggers. So here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing bloggers to follow:

  1. Figure out her stats. If you are tall, find a blogger of similar height to you. That way when you receive that dress in the mail she suggested, you’re not surprised to see that it fits similar to a dress you wore in college and can probably now pass for a shirt.

  2. Find a blogger in a similar climate to you. If she is experiencing similar weather to you, then she will most likely be showing you pieces that will work for the weather and season you are in too.

When it comes to hiring an image consultant or personal stylist, it is also important to find the correct one for you too. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together and will be talking about some really personal stuff. I always like to have calls or sometimes a coffee date with my clients before working together as a chance to get to know one another. It is important to me that we can develop a bond that makes them feel comfortable and happy! Because at the end of the day, getting dressed should be fun and if my clients are happy, I am too!
