Your Next Winter Athleisure Look Inside
Happy New Year! This week's catalog has got me hitting 'add to cart'! I've designed 8 winter athleisure looks, perfect for your next ski vacation, or just looking warm and chic. I've recently taken up skiing as an adult and have such a respect for slope styles! I love the super coordinated ski looks and the consideration to what people are wearing underneath to make them apres ski ready!
When it's cold out, it can be easy to resort to layering up with no regard as to how it actually looks, just to battle the dropping temps.. Being from Upstate New York, I completely understand how important it is to have the right pieces to stay warm.
While this week's catalog does have a ski focus, all of the looks feature practical footwear and elevated athleisure, making it relatable to all! When looking at this week's catalog if you're not a skier or live in a more mild climate, here are three tips on how to utilize this week's catalog and transform the looks:
1. Swap out the all weather boots shown for a casual sneaker. Swapping for your favorite sneaker makes these looks great for casual functions or travel.
2. Swap winter accessories for all weather accessories. For example, the looks feature knit beanies and fur ear muffs, consider swapping for a baseball hat or a headband.
3. Swap the winter coats for a trench coat or leather jacket. A trench is a great alternative to the long coats shown in the looks. A trench will still complete the look and add structure, but will be more conducive to mild temps. And if you're wondering if a trench is too dressy for an athleisure look, the answer is no. I love pairing a dressier coat with your athleisure to elevate the look.
This year we started a new family tradition of skiing on Christmas Eve! I'm still a beginner skier but am getting more comfortable with each trip! If you're someone like me who is learning a new sport as an adult, my best advice is to look the part... the rest will come!
